Meditation is the key: it opens the door to your spirit, it is so important that if I had to choose only one practice/therapy/modality there would be no hesitation it would have to be meditation, the previous statement is almost a mantra......... and it rhymes! :-) There are many ways to meditate, the simplest (it requires no special equipment, just lungs) is to sit in a comfortable position, o.k so maybe you need a chair but you can sit on the floor! even a bean bag, gently close your eyes  and focus on your breathing.. simply breathing in... breathing out, just your natural rythmn, nothing forced, you are simply sitting with your eyes closed, your feet  flat on the floor, your hands gently resting in your lap,  breathing in... breathing out, whenever thoughts intrude (and they probably will) notice/acknowledge them but don't follow them. You know the sort of thing "what to make for dinner, need to buy bread/milk pay a bill etc. etc" if this happens bring your focus gently back to the breath... breathing in ... breathing out and in these precious moments you are, and this is essential! you are in the "moment" in the "now" simply be-ing, you are concsiously connecting with your soul/spirit energy
